Belly Beer

Its about Beer. It’s always been about beer. When I was 13 years young, I remember drinking (at least) 9 mickey’s Big Mouth Malt Liquors in about 2 hours while my family was out. Needless to say, I allegedly did things that made me really glad there weren’t cell phone cameras yet. Why we feel the need to over-indulge in beer says just how great it is.

In 1991 I began brewing my own beer. I actually joined the homebrewers society and went to meetings! I think all beer lovers go thru that stage, but it was interesting and my beer turned out OK. I made various types but the lite always was the most drinkable. Thanks to my great friend Steve Lipson for sending this photo of the last unopened Belly Beer known to exist. I’m glad you have a cam on your cell phone!

In 1994 is when I began to appreciate imported beer a whole lot more. I started working nights at a beverage store and Ice Plant. What a concept – selling Beer AND Ice! They carried so many imports, I would up using all my paychecks to buy beer! I had a long tenure there, go figure.

Now I prefer Michelob Ultra but will drink any lite beer as evident in the videos. I will finish with this quote by a friend of mine. “If the glass is half full of beer, Life is good!” ~Danika Burr
