Belly for President was a skit we shot on impulse. I was working at Paradise Show as a set carpenter with my buddy Steve. We were building a set fort ATA and it had all the American Theme – lots of stars and bars. We came up with an idea of a Beer Chugging canidate who is running for president.
I wrote the speech based of the Gettysburg Address in about 20 minutes and was memorizing it in my van on the way to the shoot. As usual I arrived late and it was bedlam getting the shoot done. A lot of my friends showed up to help, and of course I provided all the beer. Special Thanks to Larry Epstien, owner of Paradise, Mark Wilke, Carrie, Whopperjaw, and everyone else who came out to help on this.
